Private Natural Heritage Reserve or (RPPN)

is a unit of private conservation area, created on the initiative and express manifestation of the rightful owner of the area covered by the act of public authority, provided that found the public interest and in order to conserve biodiversity, landscapes and remarkable alternative, high-value sites which present historical, archaeological, paleontological and cave exploration.

The basic goal of Integral Protection Units is to preserve nature, being admitted only the indirect use of it natural resources, except in cases provided for in this Law.
